Book 2 starts with us showing up at Hedonism II for the first time in 1999... having absolutely no idea where all of this would eventually lead.
From there, we take you behind the scenes of our own Playcate convention, a full resort takeover in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
But underneath all the travel, parties and bad decisions is the story of us climbing deeper into the lifestyle together. We learned how to deal with jealousy, misunderstandings and the occasional situation that probably should have gone very badly... mostly by doing something surprisingly simple.
We talked to each other.
Sometimes our life seems unrealistic. We know. We lived it. That’s probably why you should read the book.
Not because we had a master plan... mostly because we kept saying yes to things that sounded interesting.
Our first visit in 1999... before we knew how much one Jamaican resort would eventually become part of our story.

There isn’t one standard swinger club. In our experience, there are two broad types you’re most likely to run into.
On-premise clubs have the social areas and designated play areas in the same location. You can spend the evening talking, dancing and meeting people without ever doing anything more... or, if everyone involved wants to, the rest of the venue is right there.
Hotel events work differently. An organizer takes over part or sometimes all of a hotel and turns it into a lifestyle event for the weekend. The hotel itself becomes the gathering place, with the exact setup depending on the group and the property.
Every club and event has its own personality, rules and crowd. Book 2 includes our first visit to a European swingers club in Paris... on single gents night, because apparently we like learning things the interesting way.

There isn’t a quiz that tells you whether the lifestyle will work for your relationship. We think the better place to start is with a conversation... long before you start worrying about clubs, cruises or anyone else.
Can both of you say what interests you? Can either of you say no without the other person getting upset? Can you admit when something bothers you instead of pretending it doesn’t?
We’ve had jealousy. We’ve had misunderstandings. We’ve had moments where one of us saw a situation very differently from the other. What kept those moments from becoming bigger problems was usually pretty simple... we talked about them.
Book 2 is really the story of us learning that lesson while our lifestyle world kept getting larger. It may sound unrealistic. Then again... so does quite a bit of our life.
